copystar cs-2021 w/ c 32 code

customer called today w/ c-32 code, i don't have this manual but i do have the 6th intrivia which tells me c-31 (not the same code but close) is a scanner problem, on a another machine c-32 is a ADF problem, but this one doesn' t have a ADF. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

c-32 code points to scanner motor problem, however, in dusty/dirty environments, i have seen dirty scanner sensors give that problem. check those first. they're in optics section on back left frame if i remember correctly. if that doesn't help, then i would check scanner belt for wear or proper tension. rarely is it the motor itself. good luck!!

Also, you might try blowing off the pulse sensor in the copier.
