i have a mita ai 2310L copier ,120,000 k
the drum fingers scratch the drum after 2000 copies ,wich show up in the copies , fingers look ok ,i dint put a long life drum in it , but i dont see if it would make any difference , any ideas out there ?

yeah. take drum fingers off. the vast majority of copiers run fine w/o them. i don't know this model, but its worth a try if its not too involved.

Joe, does the machine have a lot of paper jams by the drum? Then it is possible that you have to replace guide a+b+c and rollers in the switchable output feeder

I was told by tech suport to remove the drum (3) pickers. The only problem I have seen with this is that it may increase duplex second side jams going into the fuser. The input/output guides a,b,& c will give alot of jmming with duplexind, job seporator or directing to finisher as the get old and crack. If you replace them tan also replace the black feed rollers as well as the top clear jam door for it has been modified.
