well, that wasn't the best model that mita put out, however, your "AP" message is indicating your machine is adding toner to keep up with the density m/c was set at during developer replacement. this can happen due to a large copy run with alot of black/density on copies, or optics are running dark, developer may be worn(80K) or machine is getting close to running out of toner, which the toner light will come on after m/c runs for alloted time. about 2 mins. or so.

good luck,
ray

p.s. this m/c needs to have waste toner hopper vacuumed out every 40 to 60k or tub fills up, causing cl. unit auger to back out and taking out drum.

Hi! Comparing with mita 1555 and (wooow) mita 1556, the 1560 is a more reliable machine. I have some which have 1000k (one million)copies! of course, changing many spare parts! About your question,in "addenda" of < raym > you can check if the front connector is OK.Did the toner motor is rollin? If you have not solved this problem, give us more details. Good luck! COPYROM

mITA 1560 AND mITA 1860 Excess toner usage. Help....
After about 75,000 copies they start to **** down toner like crazy. 1st time, we cleaned out the toner hopper and seemed ok. about a month later, hoppers filled up to overflow. 2nd trip (closer inspection) noticed that immediately after clean-out and refil of toner, toner add moter would'nt stop. Went thru entire clean-up; vaccumed out toner hopper; installed new toner; and RESET toner bias level. cLEANED TONER AUGER, RESET SIMULATION 62 TO 70; ADJUSTED AUTO EXPOSURE; CLEANED ROLLERS. Seemed OK. toner add motor stopped and seemed to respond norally. Self congratulation stopped about 2 weeks later when toner ofill problem came back. ANY IDEAS>>>
