    IR 2520 toner level

    Hi there,
I have a customer who owns a Canon IR2520. Ran out of toner and i tried to refill an old cartridge but the copier refuses to use an old refiller cartridge. I have two more days left until i receive the new cartridges and thought i might help this particular customer with an old refilled cartridge for a few days.
Does the C-EXV 33 toner cartridge have some kinda chip somewhere? How does the copier determine toner level/consumption/cartridge EOL before it rejects any?
This in only for my personal information because i always take care of the copiers i sell and use only genuine cartridges.
    Thanks alot for the info.
    Have a nice day.

I know what you mean, I have the same copier and you can use refills I don't think. They want you buying new ones.

I already bought new ones and always use genuine cartridges. I do not mess around with my copiers. It was a question for my curiosity because sometimes cartridges are not in stock and i have to wait a few more days untill they arrive, though there were ordered in time. That's why i tried to refill a cartridge to help out my customer.
    Thanks.
