Does the Photocopier Industry Have a Future?

I have been in the copier industry almost 30 years and I have never known it as quite as it is right now. I am seeing dealers going to the wall and the trade in serious decline. I don't think this is purely down to recession but changing attitudes and a younger workforce. By that I mean conservation and reduction of carbon footprints mean that it is no longer acceptable to circulate a memo, bring presentations on paper or print out emails. And a younger generation are estranged from printing and photocopying and live life in the virtual world. Am I being pessimistic or are we in a rapidly declining industry with no future?

That's right,if we look at the volumes in the developed world vs the growth generated in the emerging economies. At present the industry is getting benefit from the rising input from the emerging economies as they try to organise themselves.
5 years down the line it will be interesting to see where we are heading as the same growth engine will mature itself and the devloped world will have adjusted to the changes in technological advancement.

However,it has been a challenge to look for a newer opportunities for the industry resources and that's not a good sign.
