    Ricoh MP C2030 Scanner Setup

    Hi,

    I have a Ricoh MP c2030 copier.

I have installed the RPCS driver (Windows 7) and can use the copier as a printer.
The problem I am having is setting it up as scanner, From what I have read I cannot set it up to scan to a folder as this is not an option on the 2030. I have however got to set-up Twain. I have download the twain network connection tool and it sees the copier but I cannot get windows to see it as a scanner? Apparently I need the Desktopbinder tool but that's not compatible with windows 7 (I get a "could not find the required key for the initialization file. 'common'" error) when I try to install. I just need some way to install a twain driver I think!!

I'm pulling my hair out!! Any information would be gratefully received!
    Many thanks in advance.

Scan to folder via SMB IS possible with that machine (so long as the firmware is up dated) otherwise FTP is also an option.
However, It's not a simple 1 or 2 lines of instructions.
Scan to email is the easiest for an end user to configure. Just make sure the mail server doesn't require the use of SSL as the machine doesn't support encryption.
But seriously...don't you think it's time to pick up the phone and call someone?
