I am having a problem with a Konica 7222. When I boot the machine it prompts me to enter a "User ID". I would like to go into the key operator mode and disable this function, but when I go to the Help button, the machine won't even let me into this I am assuming because i have to enter an ID first. Is there any way to get in to shut this off without knowing any of the ID's. If anyone has any helpful hints, please share. Thanks in advance!!

the procedure is in the service manual:
7145 series Field Service Ver.4.0 Mar. 2004
page: 1-4

looks like you can cange the key operator password in this way, i have never tried it myself.
try and find out from the customer if they dont know the code.

Enter the "25" adjustment/ software mode by holding the "2" and "5" down while powering up. Go to menu choice "5", "Password Setting", and change each of the four types of passwords to all zeroes. Don't forget to hit "set" after each entry.
