  • Ubeo acquires Connecticut office services firm

    "Ubeo Business Services, which is co-headquartered in Austin and San Antonio, said Thursday that it has acquired Connecticut-based A&A Office Systems.

    Financial terms of the deal were not released.

    Jim Sheffield, president and CEO of Ubeo Business Services, said he is “enthusiastic for the opportunity” to build on A&A Office Systems’ legacy in the Northeast.

    “After a year and a half of tremendous growth, expansion in this region was always part of our plan. We needed an exceptional partner to make this happen, and A&A is that partner,” Sheffield said in a written statement.

    Ubeo Business Services is a printing and electronic document management company. It provides printer, copier and office equipment sales and services. The company employs about 1,000 people, with about 335 of those in Austin and San Antonio. Ubea also has operations in California and Louisiana.

    A&A Office Systems will continue operating under the same name and “retain its leadership and local support staff,” according to Ubeo. The transition will be led by James Morrissey, who serves as Ubeo’s president for northeastern operations." [Read more here...]
