Getting "sensitive" data off AF 220 HDD

I've never worked on Ricoh stuff before that I can recall.

I have a client that wants to rid themselves of an Aficio 220, but they work in an area where "sensitive" data gets copied a lot.

What's the correct procedure? I can't just wipe the HD because the system files are on there, correct?

Hand the customer the hard drive and send the machine to the shredder. Most reputable companies have an IT department whose job includes securing and destroying sensitive data when necessary. There IT problem is not yours unless is sated in the contract. Alternate method, form all on HDD, wipes address book, image data, and more. Reset the NIC, run 100 blank prints and turn it over to them.

no system files are on the hard drive. just wipe it or replace it. after reinstall, you will get a function error, format through service mode.
